WHO IS ORION?
Orion is a land engineering and development consultancy with offices across NSW and Queensland. Known for their rapid growth, modern approach and strong internal culture, they work across urban design, infrastructure and masterplanned communities.
CHALLENGE
Orion approached Studio Oi to help them celebrate their 10th anniversary, a milestone moment for any business, but particularly for one that had grown rapidly from a two-person start-up into a 130-person team spanning five locations.
Having partnered with Orion for eight years, Studio Oi knew their brand, tone and story inside out. But a celebration like this called for a fresh creative lens.
The challenge? To design an identity and campaign that honoured where Orion came from, reflected the people and culture that got them there, and held its own in a competitive landscape of national and global consultancies. It had to feel personal and polished, future-focussed yet grounded in truth. It also had to flex across internal events, team merchandise, client presentations and public platforms like LinkedIn, all while staying connected to their core brand.
SOLUTION
Studio Oi’s long-standing relationship with Orion meant we could skip the warm-up phase and jump straight into the work. We kicked off with a series of creative workshops to explore what this anniversary meant to the team, and how it could support both internal morale and external perception.
We landed on a bold tagline: Nothing by chance. Everything by design. A nod to Orion’s strategic, values-led approach to growth, and the through-line for every touchpoint we created.
Visually, we designed a bespoke 10th anniversary mark, turning the ‘I’ and ‘O’ from the Orion name into a graphic ‘10’ that echoed their masterbrand horizon-line logo we developed. This motif animated beautifully in intros and outros, and was applied across a suite of celebratory materials, from event decks and banners, to sports tees, etched Fressko coffee cups and water bottles (which sparked a who-could-get-one-first frenzy!), and high-quality laptop backpacks. We designed pieces that were beautiful and genuinely useful, gear the team would want to wear and keep.
On the content side, we created an ambitious video series ranging from polished leadership interviews to lighthearted team moments (including a zombie apocalypse survival quiz). These rolled out across internal comms and social media, spotlighting the people behind the trajectory.
One of the centrepieces was their Vision Day presentation: an internal storytelling piece that charted their journey. Studio Oi collaborated closely with Orion’s leadership to shape the narrative, refine the content and design a slide deck that was emotive and engaging.
Throughout, we provided end-to-end creative and production support, from concept to copy, video to merchandise, in a highly collaborative process that kept everything on brand and on time.
